Candidates are eligible to take the exam if their application has been approved and they have attended all four core courses. If the candidate passes the certification exam, they must still meet the 18 elective credit requirements before receiving the DBIA® designation. Elective hours are required for candidates pursuing the DBIA® credential. Candidates must fulfill 18 hours of elective credit which can be earned through DBIA courses, conferences, webinars or DBIA Regional programs.
